Welcome to the
West Arlington Improvement
Association of Baltimore City, Inc.
Marked by its historic water tower, the northwestern Baltimore neighborhood of West Arlington retains the quiet charm and well-maintained streets Arlington was known for throughout the 20th century. The streets of West Arlington are lined up with well-structured homes with large square footage, large lots, tree-lined streets and well kept lawns and alleys. The community is an ideal suburban type location in the city that is serene, quiet, and has a low crime rate. As with many of Baltimore's outer ring neighborhoods, West Arlington began as a rural farmland among the hills surrounding the city of Baltimore as it existed in the 18th century. As business flourished in the city throughout the 19th century, Baltimore expanded and many residents moved to the Arlington area as it evolved into a suburb.
